South Kensington station is one of London’s busiest stations and sees tens of millions of customers passing through the station every year. We’re now developing the programme needed to bring forward this new development, which will transform the buildings within the red line shown on the view above.

Our proposals aim to create a better station experience at South Kensington. Step-free access to the Circle and District lines will be delivered in the first phase of the scheme. The scheme will also improve the surrounding streets and provide much-needed affordable homes.

The delivery of the scheme will be led by the Station Upgrade, including the step-free access.  This is currently planned to require use of the in-station retail units, 4-6 Arcade, 10 Arcade and 32/34 Thurloe Street. The Around Station Development is currently planned in line with the conditions within the planning permission, which envisage the redevelopment of 20-30 Thurloe Street within a first phase and the Bullnose plus the rest of the Arcade as a second phase.

Residents and local stakeholders will be kept informed of plans to commence work on site. You can recieve this information by signing up to our mailing list.
